Zhonghe 中和區, Taipei

2/14/2012 Taiwan Explorer
1. Introduction

• Known for: population density
• Population: 416,000 (2012, source)
• Wade-Giles: Chung-Ho
• Pinyin: Zhōnghé
• Romaji: Chūka
• Map: My map of Zhonghe

Zhonghe 中和區 is one of Taipei's southern suburban districts known for being extremely densely populated. Interestingly, one of the most popular parks in this part of the city is located here - the 823 Memorial Park. The area around the park is famous for good cafes and restaurants - it's the best part of Zhonghe to visit. If you decide to visit this part of Taipei, here are my must see places: Yuantong Temple, Fuhe Temple and the 823 Memorial Park.
