Wuzhou Street Night Market, Taipei

3/26/2011 Taiwan Explorer

Wuzhou Street Night Market 梧州街觀光夜市 (also Wu Zhou Street Pedestrian Area) is a small and less known night market in Wanhua near Longshan Temple. It's less known, because of the two other famous night markets nearby get all the spotlight, the one on Guangzhou Street and Huaxi Street. Basically, if you head down to Guangzhou Street Night Market, you will think that Wuzhou Street is part of it, because the streets cross and there is no clear indication, that they're two separate night markets. Together with Huaxi Street they form a huge night market area, so it's not so important where you are headed, you will see all of them anyway. Because of that, I won't write a review in full detail about Wuzhou Street, because the food is more or less the same as on the other two famous night markets.

Let me share some photos with you (March 2011):

The southern part of Wuzhou Street.

This part is quieter and more popular with locals.

The northern part of Wuzhou Street. This part is like a side lane to Guangzhou Street.

The same part again, full of stalls. Most sell pork.

Pork is really the most famous dish in this night market.

More stalls.

Finding the market is very easy. Take the Blue Line train and exit at Longshan MRT Station. Walk to the temple and then left, where you will first reach the Guangzhou Night Market and then turn right and you'll be at the Wuzhou Street (Map by Google, click on it for a Google Map).
